Application of portable X-ray machine
Checking whether the pearls of river clams are mature through a portable small X-ray machine is a feasible technical method. Used to detect whether oysters contain pearls inside, including the size, thickness, quantity, and condition of the pearls inside.
For the detection of pearls inside the clam, the clam can be placed on the platform of an X-ray machine and the internal image of the clam can be obtained by emitting X-rays. These images can display the internal structure of the clam, including the presence of pearls.

There are many types of X-ray inspection machines, and the model needs to be selected according to the length of use. If working for a long time, industrial X-ray machines need to be selected and equipped with radiation resistant lead boxes.

X-ray images are usually interpreted by professional technicians. They will observe features in the image, such as density, shape, and position, to determine if pearls are present. Pearls typically take on a circular or semi-circular shape and display high-density areas in X-ray images.
In practical operation, it should be noted that X-ray detection in the pearl field may require professional equipment and technical personnel for operation. These techniques are usually provided by pearl appraisal laboratories or professional jewelry appraisal institutions.
